My Project
Fractions tends to be an area of growth for students at my school. When having to solve problems dealing with fractions they don't really understand what is happening and therefore have a hard time even thinking about whether their answers make sense or not. Many times they rely on strategies that don't support overall understanding.
I would love to be able to provide my students with manipulatives that they can interact with as learning tools to build and enhance their current understanding.
The goal would be that students can not only solve problems dealing with fractions, but also explain their thinking as well.
