Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most of my students come from families where there is minimal parental support and/or involvement in their academics. However, they come to school eager to learn and ready to give 100 percent effort every day! Their attitude towards school and learning inspires and motivates me to give them the best education possible. Watching their reactions when they finally “get” something and their gratitude towards is the best part of my profession and makes me truly love what I do.
My Project
Cooperative learning groups play a big part in my classroom. Meeting with these small groups allow me to target each students academic needs. Having students use these stools while meeting with them would add a little fun and flair to the work time. Since the stools wobble around they would also benefit the kids that have trouble sitting still because it allows them to move around while on them. We also have bean bags and cushions in our room and these stools would provide another “flexible seating” option. The color of them would also make my classroom look more engaging which in turn would help the students stay engaged.
