Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are Title I school with a diverse community ranging from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our diversity is celebrated throughout campus with a Multicultural Day. Students are supportive and encouraging of others.

I see my students display courage, compassion, and sportsmanship skills every day.

These kiddos are the best. They come to class excited and eager to learn. If someone is having a difficult day, others will rally around them to raise their spirits. Our school culture is a positive one that the students reflect in many ways.

My Project

My students deserve the best that we can give them. They are appreciative of the equipment we have, but would benefit from more. The equipment I am asking for will enhance our Physical Education time together and give them experiences with new challenges and games. We currently combine our lessons with healthy habits to supercharge our time together.

We would build essential skills of balancing, crossing the body's mid-line, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and most of all playing and having fun while getting our bodies healthy!

My goal is to increase the students wealth of knowledge, encourage healthy behaviors, and build self-confidence. We would like a 30-foot parachute to have fun while working on teamwork. I'm also asking two sets of outdoor hopscotch rings. Students can use these for coordination, patterns, agility and even friendly competitions.
