My Project

I was very fortunate to have people in my life who gave me opportunities to practice working with money. Lemonade stands. Yard sales. Weekly chores with an allowance. Not every kid is so lucky.

Some kids rely on school to learn about managing finances.

I can already imagine how these resources will be used in our classroom! The money activity will help students to remember the value and look of each U.S. coin and build addition skills. The books will be put in our classroom library as a new category for students to choose from during independent reading time.
