Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kindergartners need to have fun while learning. My students will use the dough to form letters, shapes, numbers and objects. Forming letters will reinforce students' phonics skills by identifying initial, medial and final sounds.
Another activity which the dough can be used for is identifying sums, differences and missing addends.
Forming the numbers will be more fun than just writing them like they usually do. The students will also be allowed to use the dough for free play and as rewards for completing tasks. Students will enjoy being able to use their creativity to express themselves.
