Fun STEM Projects for an Eager Classroom!

My Project

These STEM supplies will help get my first-grade students excited for science! We all know the best part of science is the testing process. Students learn more from actively engaging in hands-on experiments rather than listening to a lecture.

What does it mean to be a scientist?

I try to get them excited about new topics, but also about the process. You have to make observations, predictions, experiment, and then re-adjust based on your findings. In first grade, they have difficulty when their prediction is wrong. I always tell them that that is how some of the best discoveries have been made! I feel science is so helpful in teaching perseverance!

The materials selected, including the science kit and decodables, will explain science in a fun and engaging way. The experiments and paddles will ensure they can apply what they learned interactively. We would be so grateful for these materials!
