Fun Reading Books for My Fabulous Students

My Students

As a teacher in a Title I school (low-income/high poverty), my students are faced with many challenges both inside and outside of the classroom that sometimes makes it difficult to learn. Many have struggles due to the technological divide the digital classroom and desperately need special accommodations so that they are able to learn more effectively.

This is my first year teaching 2nd grade and I need supplies and other things to make my classroom accessible and comfortable for all of my students.

My Project

My students need to practice reading to be at grade level in fluency and comprehension. Therefore, they need to practice their reading in class. They can also take these home to practice. These are high interest books and will be of interest to my students. They are going to also help with building their Spanish vocabulary because of the illustrations. These books will come in handy to do reading circles with a small group of students who struggle with reading fluency and comprehension. I don't have leveled books currently and need them desperately.
