I have the pleasure of teaching 40 enthusiastic Second graders. They love to learn, but they need materials that will keep them interested.
I teach in a low socioeconomic school and unfortunately, many of the children that come through my room don't have basic supplies.
Therefore, I provide most of the materials that are in my room. Regardless of background, all of the children are excited about being at school and learning new things.
My Project
The Pick-A-Problem Math Warm-Ups will be used as at the beginning of our math lesson daily. The Meet the Common Core Math Standards Learning Center will be used in small group setting where students can learn hands-on and self monitor. Both items will allow students gain more math practice in a "game- like" way.
Donations to this project will allow students the chance to learn and apply Second grade math skills in a fun and exciting way.
By using these items students will generate a love for learning math.
