This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It's nice to learn number concepts, numeral comprehension, counting and addition in a fun way.
I teach six wonderful 6- and 7-year-old students with autism.
I work in high needs school. Each student has a different Individual Educational Program which includes math goals. Some of them are learning addition. Some of them are learning numeral comprehension. Some of them are just beginning to learn numbers. All of them enjoy coming to school and learning through fun activities.
My Project
Some of my students will will develop number recognition and number matching skills as they play with cars and drivers. Playing with Count With Me! magnetic books and Count Magnetic Math Kit will help students develop counting skills. Other students will learn addition and subtraction combination while playing with Beginning Operations Game Library, I Can Add and Subtract Math Mats, Add a Frog Math Kit, and an Early Math Simple addition Listening Center. Through Simple Addition Partner Game, my students will develop their math skills as well as their social skills. Social skills are very important for children with autism.
I believe, every single student deserves the right to learn number concepts, numeral comprehension, counting and addition.
Your donations will help my students to achieve their individual goals. Please help me to create a fun learning environment in my classroom. Thank you!
