Providing for the needs of special education students will certainly be one of my greatest challenges as a professional educator. Not only will these students demand more of my time and patience; so, too, will they require specialized instructional strategies in a structured environment that supports and enhances their learning potential.
The students in my class are very diverse in ethnicity, race, social class, and needs.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative, my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. I want to give them the best education I can give and help them to be successful in their lives and in their future.
Our motto is if you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn no one can stop you!
My Project
After a year of online learning, students need more hands-on options in the classroom. Students will use the reading flashcards, magnifier, sensory toys in center rotations, and gift cards as behavior incentives and during choice time.
They are building identities as STEM-thinkers through these daily experiences that will encourage future studies and careers in the STEM fields and get rewarded after.
We have a mission of building a passion for all things STEM in our young learners. Our goal is to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM that launches further studies and eventually, a career in STEM fields for our students and get rewarded for their eagerness to learn.
