This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come into the classroom everyday full of life, ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title 1 school where most students receive a free lunch. Our school severs students in grades PK through 8th grade and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment

They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers and questioners.

They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even though they don't know it yet. They are the future and I want to give them the best start I can in school.

My Project

A child will not stay little for long so I understand how much a parent wants to see art with their hands. Waiting for paint to dry and having tiny humans around the room is hard so paint that dries quickly is essential. When we go outside, we have limited access to balls for the kids to play so we would like to add to that number so that our kids can share with less students than they have to right now.

Sensory play is a huge part of our day.

The sand is a great addition to our classroom since the students can manipulate it into shapes and it won't dry out on us.
