The students in my classroom this year are sweet, young, loving kids. They range from the ages of 3-5. The students enjoy our free choice centers within the classroom. The students enjoy it when we bring out and rotate new centers. To see them smile helps brighten my day. Every day is a new adventure with our class.
Sensory breaks are key for students with autism.
Sensory breaks allow the students' bodies and brains to take a break, then when we regroup, the students will be more focused.
My Project
These items will help my students grow throughout the rest of the school year. They enjoy new exciting toys coming into our classroom. The spelling board will help our older students learn to start spelling simple words, they like a challenge! The new cars will be a hit with our kiddos who love to play with cars/trucks. Our students love to play with the little people in our classroom, so the new community workers will add to that center. The students and I appreciate any item that can teach them to work together, share and interact with one another!
The cars will be used to have students interact and share with one another, the students can also count the cars and turn them into a math lesson.
The magnadoodles can be used for free time, or to practice their fine motor / writing skills. The community helpers will be used at the block center as well as the dramatic play center. The word puzzles will help my students not only practice identifying their letters, but start spelling words. They will be able to match the letters that fit within the puzzle. The crayons will be used for free art which the students love to create new master!
