Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The large majority of the students are ESL. We are a Title One school with a specific demographic. The library here is small and could definitely use funding in order to purchase more current fiction and non-fiction material for the students to read. We are low on several series, as well. I would love to give these children access to more books that they want to read. We need your help in order to give the kids what they need and deserve!!

My Project

The children here have been asking for these fun graphic novels non-stop. They are humorous novels that encourage the children to read because they are so silly and enjoyable. They are also highly popular right now, and because of some of the children's financial situations, they are unable to purchase them for their home library. So, the more they ask, the more I want to fulfill their wishes. A love for reading is so important and if we can get these students to want to read, we help them in all areas of education. Please help us get some fun novels for these students!
