This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a resilient group of learners learning during this pandemic. They are a social bunch that love to play, laugh, and learn together. A year of remote learning has put a lot of stress on teachers, families, and most importantly the students to fill the “learning gap”. So much so that we’ve forgotten that these kids also need to be followed with joy and have fun, too!
My Project
These fun items will help motivate students to work hard so they can play hard! It will also encourage responsible, respectful, and safe play with their peers. These will be used for Fun Fridays, where they have the chance to choose a creative center to play. Fun Fridays will be earned as a class incentive throughout the week to work hard. This year after being remote has been difficult on the students, as they are truly learning what it means to be in a classroom here they are held accountable for their engagement, participation and work completion. A little incentive will go a long way to motivate them to do their best!
