Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will be utilized by our entire third-grade level, which is made up of three classes with 21 current students in each class! Our students are active, creative, and love to have fun! We are a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school. This year's group of third graders are the kids who missed out on their whole last quarter of Kindergarten when COVID first hit, and then they spent three-fourths of their first-grade year online!
One thing that we have implemented as part of PBIS is Fun Friday!
Every other week, the students get the opportunity to celebrate their positive behavior and hard work for the previous two weeks. Students have an opportunity to choose their reward activity for Fun Friday at the end of the two weeks! Generally, we will offer an art room, a game room, and a video room! Having more games and more art supplies are things that the kids will definitely enjoy!
