This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My group of friends are resilient and hungry for learning! Anyone who has gone through the pandemic knows the hardships that were faced and these students are no different. They have gone through the ringer! As an inner city school, these students have the street smarts and book smarts! They are filled with potential and just need the right resources to provide them with sufficient opportunities to thrive in a time where they have felt the most deprivation.

My Project

These small items will make big impacts in our day-to-day activities. The jump ropes are to get my kids active at work recess, especially my girls who just sit around sometimes.

The microphone amplifier will be used to assist with classroom whole group lessons.

Using your teacher voice is straining on the vocal chords)

The hand soap is for keeping little hands clean.

The twisteez are for fun Friday projects. I have a very artistic group of students who love to get creative and this would be perfect for them!

The whisper phones are to help with fluency. Students are able to read aloud with them and listen to themselves as they read.

The skin tone bandages are for all the scrapes and cuts that happen.
