Help me give my students more flexible seating options for a better engagement at stations!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Stoner's classroom raised $281

My Students
I teach an amazing group of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders with a range of disabilities from Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Hearing Impairment and Emotional Disturbance. These students have a wide range of backgrounds socially and economically. Our school is located in a low socio-economic area and strive for parent involvement.
I want my students to have the same learning opportunities as their typical peers.
They want to learn, understand, and be a part of activities, like their non-disabled peers. My students require a multitude of learning strategies and materials in order to reach their true potential. This involves many different ways of teaching and tools for engagement.
My students LOVE to learn through technology and enjoy moving around the classroom while they learn and work with me or a small group. They are so curious and it is very rewarding as a teacher when their light bulb goes off or something clicks and they start striving academically and socially.
My Project
My students are at various academic levels and it is much easier for them to learn and stay focused when they are in small groups or working at stations. Having various flexible seating options helps my students stay engaged for longer periods of time.
My students enjoy different kinds of seating options!
We have never had wobble chairs in our classroom and I know my students will love them! They give them the option to move around much more. These wobble chairs will also allow students to lean forward or backward without me telling them they are going to break their chair!
