My Students

I have a classroom that is full of boys and girls who are excited and eager to learn! The students love hands-on activities that challenge their minds, and they love working with their classmates to solve problems. They have great imaginations, love to think outside of the box, and are excited to learn. My students are mostly from the same area, and have been friends since they started school. Since our school is a charter school, the students are from different parts of the parish.

My Project

My students will use the different hands-on, interactive games and learning activities to gain a better understanding of different first grade skills. Over the last few months, I have noticed that my students seem to understand topics better if they can use their hands to build, play, or work on the skills. I hope they can use the hands-on folder activities to quickly master a skill, and they can use the quizzes and answer pens to quiz themselves and gain immediate feedback. I hope they can use the reading puzzles to find matching sounds and words to become better readers and writers.
