Fun, Fellowship, and Fitness!

My students need playground equipment, including 12 flag football belts, bouncy balls for kickball and play, a basketball, and a few frisbees.

This project is fully funded

I teach fourth grade students in an intermediate building. I currently have 29 students in my class, however, when we go outside for recess time there are more than 90 students playing together.

Our school does not have a playground for the students. We do have a blacktop and a field of grass for the students to play on while at recess. This leave us with options like football, kickball, and sidewalk chalk. The only problem is we don't have enough equipment for all 90 students to have a good time on their 20 minute recess. We're down to one kickball, one football, and a handful of cones.

We really would like a few extra bouncy balls, a couple of footballs, a frisbee, and a basketball so more students can participate in recess. Recess is an opportunity for students to get fresh air, to run, play, and be a kid! I want to make sure they continue to enjoy it!

I believe you will be very popular with my students if you contribute to this project. Many students list "recess" as their favorite subject! The students' recess time is their built in social time. This allows students the opportunity to learn how to work as a team, solve conflicts, and to grow as an individual. Every child deserves an atmosphere where he or she can just be a kid!
