This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to sit in the carpet and listen to me read them stories, but they "adore to use the computer and read-along stories of their choosing!"

My students are eager to explore, investigate, question and experiment the world and all its wonders.

However, our classroom computers are old and dated that really should be considered obsolete equipment because it does not have the software support that is compatible to current applications. My students get easily distracted and loose interest when the computer programs are too slow.

My Project

A laptop in the classroom will help all my students experience the magic of technology. They will be able to select stories of their choosing. Including they will be able to read along and read their favorite selection as many times as they desire. There are hundreds of programs and games that will help my students learn to read and understand the meaning of letters in a fun interactive way.

Your support will bring my students one step closer to experiencing the pleasure of learning to read.
