This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredible, unique learners who thrive when given the right tools to explore, express, and engage. They are elementary-age students with a wide range of special needs, from sensory processing challenges to developmental delays. Every day, they amaze me with their resilience and curiosity.

In our classroom, we focus on developing life skills, communication, creativity, and social interaction through play-based and hands-on learning.

However, we often lack the basic supplies, such as markers, that help make learning fun, comfortable, and accessible for all.

Many of my students come from low-income households and often don’t have access to enriching toys or creative supplies at home, such as the magnetic tiles and games. With your help, we can turn our classroom into a more inclusive, stimulating, and nurturing space, one where every child feels safe, confident, and inspired to learn.
