This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students thrive to learn and improve! Many of our students have opted to learn from home remotely and all of our music instruction happens remotely. Students need to be able to see a variety of visuals to learn musical concepts remotely!
My Project
Students are spending so much time learning from a screen! They need to be looking at fun, colorful, engaging, clear visuals to keep them motivated and excited to learn! As I am teaching remotely from school, I need big music manipulatives I can use to teach musical concepts effectively. Students need to continue learning essential music concepts while at home, such as pitches, solfege, rhythms, dynamics, and beat. The basis music concepts need to be set early so students will continue to increase their musicianship each year and be successful musicians!
