I am switching from general education Math to Special education Math. I want to help my students be ready for class every day. The 20 bin container will house the bins for my students to have everything they need for class. Each student would be allowed their own basket to stay organized with their items.
Help my students become organized and able to communicate easily what they need for class.
The clothes pins are a system I want to use to create a communication system from the students. Each clothespin color will represent an item that they need or have ran out of and need them replaced. At the end of class the student would place a clothespin for what they need on their bin. At the end of the day I would then replace the item that they need. Example, if they need a new pencil they would place a clothespin for pencil, I would then add a pencil and remove the clothes pin. I am hoping to help students not only learn math, but also to learn an easy way to communicate their needs and show independence of their need.
