This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a school of students from Pre-k to 5th grade.

My amazing students come from many countries from all over the world.

Many of the parents in our school do not speak English, and these children are first-generation Americans. Despite obstacles, our students show up each day ready to learn and energetic. We have a wonderful and respectful classroom environment. There are many diverse learners in the classroom. These students are amazing and have persevered through this difficult time.

My Project

Our classroom of readers have truly grown since the start of second grade! Most students have gone up at least 3 reading levels! Why need to keep up this momentum with fun and engaging books that students really want to read!

Imagine having to read books every day, for a half hour, that you have absolutely no interest in.

How would your reading improve? It really just would not. Now imagine having fun and new books with fun characters. Wouldn't you want to read all the time?

Please help us get these books to engage our students with fun and amazing new books!
