My Project
Teaching in the inner city, my math students sometimes do not have the tools they need to be successful in the classroom. Sometimes, something as simple as an eraser will help the students in feeling confident enough to try new problems. Using a whiteboard to do their work will allow them to share their work with their classmates quickly and easily. Allowing students to have more access to the math we do every day is very important to me. These whiteboards will allow all students to be on the same level playing field when they come to my class. They can get their thoughts out on a whiteboard and then present their findings to the class.
When we cannot make it outside for recess my students currently have very few options for fun indoors.
The cards, dominoes, and Uno will give them the opportunity to interact with their classmates and take a break.
