My Students
My students are eager and willing to learn! They are happy, motivated, and capable, but many of them come from homes where resources and materials are not readily available. The income levels of their homes are varied, but most are living in poverty situations. We also have a high population of English learners. They are so excited and ready to read, but they need help getting the resources they need.
I want them to have every opportunity to be successful throughout their lives!
My Project
These leveled nonfiction books will encourage and empower my students in their reading and learning! My students love to learn more about the world, how things work, and places around the world. These books are perfect for them because they'll be able to have access to books on their reading levels which means they can read them, and they have interest in them! This means they can feel successful in learning about topics that interest them because they'll know they can read the words in the book they pick out. This is an opportunity many of them don't have outside of school. I would love to help them have feel the power that learning gives them!
