Fun and Friendships through Badminton at the Murphy

Help me give my students the opportunity to work on their hand eye coordination through playing badminton. The various sized rackets will give the students the best opportunity to be successful in hitting the birdies.

My Project

Our diverse population at the Murphy School will develop skills (social, emotional and physical) through the opportunity to learn and participate in badminton during physical education. Many students have experienced badminton with their families, at summer camps, at local community centers, and this will give those students that have never experienced it l, a chance to play at school.

The various sized badminton rackets and birdies will give students of all skill levels, the opportunity to work on their hand eye coordination, provide an opportunity to team build, and allow them to learn a lifetime skill to enhance their opportunities outside of the school day as well as beyond.

Beyond all the skills, we are looking to provide the students with another great opportunity through badminton to learn about the importance of having fun in life.
