Fun and Flexible Learning!

Help me give my students sturdy lap desks to use for flexible learning and art trays with Play-Doh for indoor recess!

My Project

My students have recess time daily to allow them to interact and form relationships with their classmates. We live in Buffalo, New York, which is a beautiful city that comes with long, long dreary winter months. The cold, wintry months do force our class to have more indoor recess time than we would like.

The children love to use Play-doh during recess, which helps with their fine-motor skills and creativity.

It will also encourage friendships, working together and interacting with peers during their free time.

In addition, the lap desks will be used during instructional time. Our classroom is filled with traditional tables and chairs, but having the lap desks will encourage movement around the classroom while they work.
