Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

100% of our students receive free and reduced school breakfast and lunch. There are so many students who go home with empty stomachs and come back to school starving. This can affect brain development and focus on school work.

The items in my list (fruit snacks, cereal bars, gatorade, sweet treats, new books, pens, etc) will be distributed to my students and their families to help fuel the mind and lead to stronger focus and academic successes.

I believe it is my duty to serve my students to their best abilities and in doing so, having the energy and fuel to be successful in the classroom is important as food is important for brain development.

Relieving some of the burden of having to buy snacks, small food items, and school supplies for my students will greatly benefit our families and lead to continued success in the classroom.
