This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My amazing students range from 7-11 years old. They are singers, actors, musicians, rappers, poets, authors, scientist and most of all inspiring. Many of them come to school an hour early to participate in the band program. At our school, we pride ourselves on having an amazing music program. Our music teacher was named the GRAMMY Music Educator Award Recipient in 2018!
My school is located in the poorest congressional district in the entire United States.
The projects that you help fund will help my students overcome the struggles they face. Your donation will help bring much-needed resources and supplies to the students at my school.
My students work hard and they love coming to music class. The staff takes pride in what we do. We work together as a family of educators to create the best learning environment for our students. We take care of our belongings because we are very fortunate to have what we have.
My Project
So I've noticed that my students can spend hours watching their favorite streamer. I decided to check it out and wow was I impressed! The production quality of their streams is so impressive. Not only were they transitioning to different scenes effortlessly but they were interacting with their audience and It made me ask the question HOW?!?! I started doing some research and I learned that most of them have something called a Stream Deck.
A Stream Deck will allow me to be able to manage zoom controls, paste messages into the chat, and even overlay my camera into a presentation.
Honestly, there isn't much you can't program this thing to do. This will help bring a whole new level of engagement to my lessons. Little things like having balloons fall from the top of the screen when they get the answer right will make such a difference!
