This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How many times do we hear our students say that school is boring? I want to create a classroom which is inviting and interesting for my students that motivate them to want to come to school!
I teach Project Lead the Way, a technology based program at a school in Southern California.
The area in which my school is located is an area of poverty where parents are always working and cannot afford school supplies. My students have a genuine love of learning.
My Project
My students come from low income families, and do not have access to technology. At my school school we try to promote STEAM as much as possible. With these supplies my students will be able to actively participate in PLTW, Project Lead the Ways, STEAM program, which promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
I hope to create life long learners, and inspiring them with this program.
Students already love technology. However with the mice, and headphones I am hoping they will really zone in and them focus, and as a result reach a higher learning potential. All while inspiring them to want to know more about the world around them.
