STEAM a new way of life! Students have opportunity to create a life learning experience of inquiry based learning daily consisting of many experiments of visuals online but we need more hands on activities. By the end of the year, we want to be the scientist of the future! Full STEAM away!
With these materials my students will be able to focus on many curriculum based activities in our classroom.
Our focus is on Earth and ways it has evolved, matter, and electricity in the world as well as the classroom. We currently are working on a robotic program with electricity but we have a bias that electricity is only used for those things. Students will have hands on activities in centers daily as well as a daily "Full STEAM away" day where we take all of our subjects and incorporate learning into the schedule. My students will walk away in June with a brain full of inquiry and a depth of knowledge using the DOK as well as higher order thinking through the scientific method process. We will have many investigations where students will conduct with project based learning.

Students will be able to go above and beyond just from reading a book but to using what they read to create and accelerate their learning.
The power of an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning is its potential to increase intellectual engagement and foster deep understanding through the development of a hands-on, minds-on and ‘research-based disposition’ towards teaching and learning.
We are an inner city school with minimal funding for science curriculum.
Our school was just created as a STEAM school one of the first in our area and we were not supported with the materials we need. These donations will help project-inquiry based learning to help my students mind set change just from book learning to hands on learning. It is essential for these children to get the experiences to bring forth into their futures. Engineering is a big part of our day!
