My Students

Our Head Start classroom is filled with 18 energetic students that are eager to learn. They range in age from 3 to 5 years old and have a wide range of different learning styles. My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions.

My students enjoy hands-on, engaging projects and activities that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions.

Despite coming from low socioeconomic backgrounds, my students come together each day to learn, grow and celebrate the goals we have achieved together.

My Project

The STEAM and engineering Kits will help to further learning in a variety of different skill areas including problem solving, language, literacy, and social-emotional. The fairytale STEAM kit comes with three stories that the children in my classroom love! These STEAM kits will help to foster problem solving , literacy and counting skills. The engineering kits will help to encourage their imagination and creation skills as they work through challenges they may face when building their finished product.

In addition to all of these important skills, I look forward to watching the students work together as a team to retell the stories and become young engineers.
