My students need materials for STEM projects. I have assembled some projects from leftover materials and things I have brought from home, but they need more sophisticated tools to advance their learning and problem solving skills.

My Students

I teach students identified for the gifted and talented program at a small urban school in our state's capital city. I serve approximately 150 students in all grades. Because I teach such a wide variety of ages, I don't always have the materials on hand to create exciting projects without purchasing them myself

Our school system is quite diverse with a high rate of free and reduced lunch students.

Students and families can't contribute many materials, either. My instructional budget is has already been exhausted with the basics that my students need.

My Project

My gifted and talented students need to advance their problem solving skills through STEAM projects. This STEM Bundle would help them build those skills and learn basics of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

One of my students' favorite activities is to use our Lego collection to build things in response to a problem or a story.

I can't imagine how excited they would be if they had real building materials and new challenges! This STEM Bundle blends all the STEAM areas together and will help me more easily meet the needs of my students AND help them become 21st century learners.
