My students need STEM centers to participate in hands-on engineering and design projects. They also need 25 STEM journals to record their observations and learning.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Keppel's classroom raised $290

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember the fun you had playing with blocks as a child. Imagine a classroom where students are having just as much fun yet learning important standards at the same time.
My students are eager five year olds.
For many of them it is their first school experience. They are excited to learn but often lack extra enrichment as they are from a low income area. My students are very appreciative of special activities and love the excitement of new experiences.
My Project
My students will use the engineering and design kits to construct bridges, houses, and more. They will learn how to problem solve as they build and test their structures, make changes when needed, and relate their learning to real world problems. To record their thoughts and finding they will keep a STEM journal.
This project will completely energize my classroom by providing the materials and resources necessary to provide many engineering design lessons.
My students will be excited to use hands-on materials to develop critical thinking skills.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
