This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing, however, not having privileges, as many others, they tend to sometimes not see the whole picture. They come from low-income families who do not have enough of the basic essentials, let alone supplies for school. What I love about my students is they never complain about not having supplies. I would like to provide them with basic supplies that most children take for granted,
My students deserve all the advantages in education to help them reach their potential.
Through utilizing our basic supplies we will focus on reading and writing activities where they create pictures to go along with their stories. These activities will help to promote a positive self-esteem. The emotional well-being of a child is of utmost importance when building successful bridges in learning. I would like to enhance their learning with just the basics. Extraordinary things can happen when students have supplies.

My Project
My students love to create stories, and having markers makes them even more excited about creating their masterpieces. My students love using different types of materials such as construction paper, as well as tissue paper in their work to create a 3-D effect .
My students do not have very much, and it is so exciting to see them so engaged in their projects.
They get so excited and are filled with a zestfulness to put forth more effort in all areas of the curriculum.
When writing stories, my students need to visualize their stories; having markers help make that a reality. Most of my students lack self-confidence, and the supplies I requested will encourage them to put forth more effort when they start seeing some success in their endeavors.
