My Project

The student's are required to learn about the connection between a series of historical events, scientific ideas or concepts, or steps in technical procedures in a text. These books will help them achieve this expectation, while also inspiring them to think outside the box.

Students need exposure to how things came to be to help them understand the world around them.

Through the reading of these books, the students will be exposed to historical events that helped shape our world and everyday life. The books can even inspire them to help change their own world now.

Many of the students at our school come from very low-income homes with little exposure to literature at home, and some students are English language learners. They often don't feel like they have the ability to make a difference because of where they come from. These books will show them that no matter where they come from they can change the world.
