My Students
My students are the entirety of our school. I serve all the students at our school in the discipline of science. My students come to me ready to learn, explore, and experiment to become critical thinkers.
Part of my school is Title I, which means they come from high poverty and may not have access to materials and resources at home.
Part of my school is Magnet, which means their parents may not live close by, but have chosen to send their child here because of the opportunities and experiences they can be a part of at our school.
My Project
The books I have asked for are aligned with the Common Core and Science Essential Standards for grades one through five. These STEM activity notebooks include activities and labs we can complete in class and create a lasting record of concepts through writing in Science journals. Having these books will help to streamline the planning process leaving more time for my students to be engaged with the learning process.
These books include activities and labs my students can complete at home while interacting with their families and demonstrating the concepts we are learning in class.
Being able to use the smelly markers will make illustrating their Science Journals more fun and make their diagrams more exciting.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
