Full STEAM Ahead - Experimenting With SOUND in Music
Help me give my students a way to explore how sounds are produced and how their sense of hearing detects and interprets sounds.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sound surrounds us! Everywhere. All the time! With the Delta Science Modules Sound Complete Kit, the students will be able to take part in 12 experiments involving sound. Included in the kit are tuning forks to study vibrations and materials to create ear trumpets to amplify sound. We will learn about how our voices and ears interact and that what we think we hear is not truly the sound made. The students will explore different surfaces to discover which absorb or reflect sound waves. Once we have explored, each student will take what he or she has learned and create an instrument using materials that can be found around the house or school.
With Delta Science Modules Sound Complete Kit the class will explore how sounds are produced and how the sense of hearing detects and interprets sounds.
The sound kit will provide an inquiry-based, hands-on approach to teaching the science of sound through the use of activities and investigative equipment. This discovery based approach will keep the students excited and engaged.
