Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Each new school year brings a fresh start—and I can’t wait to welcome my next group of Fabulous Firsties! I'm lucky to teach in a wonderful school community filled with kind, supportive families. Several of my future students will be younger siblings of former students, and I feel honored that families are returning to Room 8 once again.
For the 2025–2026 school year, I want to bring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to life through hands-on projects that inspire creativity, curiosity, and collaboration.
With your support, I’ll be able to prepare a classroom that’s ready for designing, building, experimenting, and creating from day one.
What We’re Asking For:
🎨 Creative Tools – Glow-in-the-dark paint, acrylic markers, Mr. Sketch scented markers, cardstock, and air-dry clay for expressive, art-filled learning.
🔧 STEAM Builders – Silicone beads, elastic cords, snap hooks, and cordless scissors for exciting engineering and design projects.
✏️ Classroom Essentials – Pencils, dry erase markers, mini erasers, glue sticks, paper, and bandages to support everyday learning and care.
🪄 Welcoming Environment – Bulletin board décor, magnetic letters and numbers, carpet sit spots, and tools to help create a joyful, organized learning space.
Why This Matters:
I’m excited to build a classroom where students feel inspired to try new things, take creative risks, and work together as a team. These supplies will help me set up learning stations that make STEAM fun and accessible for all, turning big ideas into meaningful experiences.
