This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is where my students begin their educational careers! As Transitional Kinder and Kindergarten students, this will be most of their first experiences in a classroom setting. They will not only learn to read, write, and count. They will start to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills through facilitated instruction and play.

My class consists of 25 students who come to school eager to learn.

My job is to do whatever it takes to make that happen!

My Project

STEAM education has become very important due to the new technological advances and careers that are now available. Yet, it is the integration of different subjects that has really allowed our kids to have thought provoking experiences.

These materials will enable my kindergarten students to immerse themselves into science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through reading some classic stories.

They will have a variety of supplies to design and build models that they will use to problem solve or create something. It will require them to use their creativity and their critical thinking skills all while having fun.
