Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school is full of great kiddos doing their best to get through the day let alone school. The truth about our demographic is that a lot of students are hungry. They have to work after school to help their families and do not have money for anything extra.
Hungry kids create a huge problem with behaviors, school becomes secondary when basic needs are not being met.
Our area is notorious for our demographic being expected to work or take care of siblings to help out with the family needs. Please help us provide food and snacks to our students so while they are at school they can learn and not worry about their grumbling bellies.
