My Project
Have you ever tried to learn something new when you were hungry? The hangry monster makes it way too difficult to focus. So why do so many teachers expect kids to do it!
Kids need to fill their bellies before they can fill their brains!
Students in first grade are still growing- and they have the appetites to prove it. I am constantly filling up our snack bin. Some students also get to school late and miss breakfast! Learning to read on an empty stomach is not easy. I like to have options available to help them feel good and ready to learn. Even though Covid numbers are finally down right now, we still are trying to be as safe as possible. Water fountains have not been turned on yet. Students can only fill up their bottles. I like to make sure my class all have a bottle at their desk that they can use whenever they need it. I would be so appreciate of any help keeping my little scholars full.
