This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is located in the epicenter of the COVID 19 virus outbreak. Our school is also located in an economically challenged area. My class is a self-contained special education class with K- 1 grades
Our student families have been hard hit by COVID 19 and are having a difficult time getting the proper nutrition.
These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet!
My Project
During this pandemic, families have lost their jobs, they have suffered from illness, and putting food on their tables is getting harder. By having some snacks, juices, and cookies delivered to my students, it will ease the burden on families
Help me give my students food to keep them energized and ready to learn from home.
Families in my school are struggling, they are in great need of help. I know they will be forever grateful for these donations. Let's help these awesome students get back to learning with full bellies.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
