My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth-grade school located in rural California. It serves 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.
Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.
I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.
My Project
I am requesting pretzels, Fig Newtons, Slim Jims and Clif Bars. Having a variety of snacks for my students helps keep them fed and energized for the day.
The snacks I requested will be given to students at snack time.
Many students don't bring a snack and are starving by lunchtime. Having a nutritious snack will help students focus more which will help them learn better.
Many times my students come to school with a stomach ache. Most of the time they have an ache because they didn't eat breakfast. Having these snacks will provide them a quick fix to help keep their stomachs full and tide them over until lunch.
