This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing snacks to students throughout the day plays a crucial role in maintaining their energy levels which directly impacts their ability to focus and engage in lessons. Many students may experience dips in blood sugar or hunger pangs which can lead to irritability, lack of concentration, and difficulty retaining information. By offering healthy, easily accessible snacks, students are better able to stay attentive and active during lessons. This fosters a positive learning environment and enhances their overall academic performance.

In addition to improving focus, regular snacks help regulate students' mood and behavior.

When students are hungry, they are more likely to become distracted, restless, or disengaged. By ensuring that every child has the opportunity to nourish themselves throughout the day, we create an atmosphere where they can thrive academically and socially.

This simple act of providing snacks not only supports their physical well-being but also promotes a sense of security, allowing them to feel cared for and supported as they tackle the day's challenges.

My TK and Kindergarten students are an incredibly kind, hardworking group who always approach each task with enthusiasm and determination. They are dedicated to doing their best, whether it’s through learning new concepts, collaborating with peers, or completing their work with pride and effort.
