My Students
I will be a new, second-grade teacher this fall. I have always taught pre-k/kindergarten so I'm excited about this new change. My class has about twenty, eager, ready-to-learn, second graders.
I want my students to have a fun learning environment that they can take ownership of.
I look forward to working with my second graders and watching them grow. The students in our district are fun and loving! My students are loving but some come from low-income homes. I try to provide the best I can for them here at school.
My Project
My students love cookies and snacks, especially when they are snacks that they really love. These snacks will be dropped off at students' homes. Snacks in my classroom are usually used as prizes for good behavior, participating, students in need, and birthdays but because of remote instruction, we haven't had that opportunity.
Snacks allow my students to pick something that they can either enjoy at the moment or save it for a special moment.
My students need these snacks to help fuel their bodies and their minds. This year is like no other and I don't want them to have to worry about meals because I am more than willing to give them something for themselves or their siblings.
