This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a barrier-free, Title I funded school, home to over 1,500 students, with over 70 languages spoken. My children are resilient, dedicated, and determined to overcome any obstacles that they may need to overcome to soar to new heights. I am in awe of their perseverance and how they strive to be the best possible. To say that I am proud to be their teacher is truly an understatement.

Project Based Learning is an integral part of our learning this year.

My students thrive when working on STEM projects with their groups. They use their creativity and ingenuity to problem solve real world problems.

The printer will be used to print out photos of their hard group project work to display around the classroom. The ink will be used for printing out the projects and other work that is needed for them to be successful. Lastly, the book will be used to provide targeted intervention in regards to decoding the STEM challenges that are given to them.
