This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My two classes are full of inquisitive 3rd graders eager to learn. They are part of a bilingual program known as EFL, also known as English as a Foreign Language. My students are constantly ready to take on fresh information and learn something new. Most of them are new to the country and are always full of questions, wanting to know the world around them in a new language. Their curiosity is invigorating and refreshing, and it is contagious among our classroom community.
In my class, and in this program, my students get to learn and practice skills in an environment that requires them to get their "creative juices" flowing.
My Project
My students will be able to use their chrome book as a main dock station to code our future Robotics program! Fueling our "E" in STEM means students will manage, analyze, and synthesize multiple streams of simultaneous information.
During Math class students will do hands-on investigations with their STEM bins beyond surface-level understanding while building and creating in Science!
Having these tools in our class will enable students to engage, inform, and encourage student-driven learning through engineering and technology! Beyond Math and Science students will develop proficiency and fluency with the tools of technology using our new dock station. These fun and effective ways to learn with robotics are why these tools in the classroom can be so beneficial and encourage kids to want to learn important STEM and 21st century skills
