This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At YVHS, many of of our student come from families who struggle and face many challenges. The students face both academic and emotional challenges. One of the most basic needs for our students is food. without it, it's hard to focus on learning and it's even harder to take care of their mental and emotional well-being.

We need your support to ensure that our students have access to snacks and that our wellness center remains accessible to them when they need it the most.

Our Wellness center is crucial for addressing these challenges. It provides a safe space where students can relay, talk to counselors, practice mindfulness, and participate in activities that promote mental well-being. For many students, simply having access to snacks will help improve their focus, energy, and overall wellness. By meeting their basic needs, we can help them better engage with their education.
